If you want to consistently achieve peak performance, you must learn to search and destroy the one thing that holds you back each and every day.
You must find it and squelch it from making failure behavior a regular fixture in your life. There always seems to be that one thing that we know deep down that keeps us consistently from performing our best.
For some, people do everything right in the gym and then screw up their optimal performance with bad diet choices. For others, they eat right, train hard and then don’t sleep enough to recuperate fully.
We train too hard or too little or not enough. We don’t eat enough, eat too much, not regularly, or consistently allow ourselves to indulge.
It’s Not Genetics – It’s Taking Small Steps
We sometimes feel like we’re trying to run up sand dunes and getting nowhere. But, it’s usually not genetics or some massive character flaw that might be impossible to change that’s holding us back.
It’s usually one small daily habit that we must dump from our failure behavior tool box once and for all by putting it in our sites day by day until it dries up and blows away.
Some people are afraid of identifying just one thing and facing it front on because perhaps they subconsciously think by ignoring it, it’ll go away. It won’t.
Or, they’re afraid they’re going to uncover a whole other army of ugly things that are controlling them.
