When Is The Best Time to Stretch?

November 20th, 2008 |

There are many times of the day that are good to do your daily stretching routines, but I think one of the best times is a few minutes after waking up and here why…

Upon waking you’re already in one of the best places to stretch - in bed. Think about it, when do people normally stretch - if at all? If you’re like most people, you wait until they go to the gym.

Morning StretchingBy that time you’re already tired, tense, and the perhaps the last thing your body really wants to do is try to stretch through that tension.

So how about trying this for a week and see the difference. Set your alarm a little bit earlier so you can have another 5-10 minutes to set your day right.

Instead of rolling right out of bed onto a hard floor, stay in bed and do some easy stretching. I actually like to start with some joint mobility exercises starting with rotating my ankles first in large to small circles. First clockwise and then counter-clockwise.

I do my wrist and finger mobility exercises that are detailed in my super hand conditioning course Finger Gymnastics. And, then, do some light stretching moving as gracefully from one position to the next without kicking your partner out of bed.

Doing your stretching first will actually set the tone of your day to a much better pitch. Think about it, before you’ve even gotten out of bed, you’ve already accomplished something pretty amazing for your body and given time to let your brain gain mental clarity without coffee.

Believe me, your body will thank you for it in many ways from better mobility to better mental focus, clarity, and physical strength. Instead of jolting out of bed already late to the sound of your alarm clock, how about just set it a few minutes earlier to set your day with power?

Try it and you might be surprised that you don’t need so much coffee when you actually take the time to open up your energy channels with early morning stretching and joint mobility exercises.

This is the reason why I like to stretch in the morning first. Then if you do any more later, then those are bonus points in your favor.

Do You Want This Kind of Extreme Power?

November 12th, 2008 |

Would you like to have the ability effortless power to throw a 235 pound man 7 feet backwards with just just the flick of your fingers? Some might call it Chi strength. Some might say it’s just powerful hands and fingers. But I call it knowing exactly how to use your energy while engaging someone else’s at the exact point and driving it forward with fearsome ease.

The combination of what I teach in my course Finger Gymnastics http://www.fingergymnastics.com and CoreForce Energy is exactly what will enable you to do this like I did the other day to a cage fighter.

I was at the gym doing my jumping two-finger pushups - yes, that’s doing pushups and hurling myself up in the air and landing on my two fingers - and a massive guy walks up to me and just stares apparently waiting for me to stop and take my headphones out of my ears to talk.

This 6ft. 7 inches, 235 monstrosity waited until the end of my set to ask me what in the world I was doing and what good was it to do jumping fingertip pushups like that. He wanted to know what value that would have.

I asked if he every saw the Bruce Lee two finger pushups and he said, “of course, I’m a jujitsu black belt and cage fighter” - guess he wanted me to know he was as tough guy or something as if his size wasn’t threatening enough.

But we talked a bit and he did seem like a nice guy, so I asked him if he really wanted to see what the fingertip pushups I was doing could do for him.

I put my hand on his chest with fingers splayed open and told him that I wasn’t going to throw him off balance, nor wind up my energy and then hit him with momentum, nor lean forward with any kind of pushing followthrough. I told him to brace himself in a strong fighting stance. I pushed on him harshly several times first just to make sure he was firm and understood completely the kind of force that was going to come at him.

Then, as I do using , I exploded with pure effortless energy and he flew backwards a little over 7 feet - without even telegraphing with any kind of telegraphing body wind-up. The expression on his face was priceless. It was the look like in the movies of a kid experiencing a wizard’s power for the first time.

We did it over and over and the outcome was always the same. Of course, he understood the value and immediately wanted learn how to do that - especially when I showed him I could do exactly the same thing with just using the back of my hand and touching him only with the backs of my fingers.

Some call this kind of power Chi strength and this kind of power people usually spend a life-time trying to learn - I know I did and never ended up learning it from someone else. So I took from the miniscule hints that books and instructors elude to and came up with my entirely different methods which I teach in CoreForce Energy and Finger Gymnastics.

Muscles of Resilient Steel

November 7th, 2008 |

I feel developing resilient steel in your muscles and tendons is a very worthy goal so that you have strength and flexibility at any angle - at any age. Sadly too many people treat stretching and muscle strength training as two separate subjects.

But, in fact, if you begin training with the goal in mind of achieving muscles of resilient steel, you’ll find yourself immediately and dramatically increasing your strength gains, flexibility, and while preventing many injuries that come from traditional stretching techniques.

People often ask me if CoreForce Energy can dramatically improve their stretching ability as well as their strength. The answer is a resounding “Yes” and it works extremely fast. You can hear for yourself below from a testimonial from an exceptional strength coach who has worked for the Danish National Elite Sports and has worked with nationally and internationally ranked athletes from various sports.

Like many others, he had asked me how CoreForce Energy could help him with his stretching. Within a few minutes and late at night with no warm-up, he achieved a “life goal” using the principles of CoreForce Energy.

He went into a deep deep stretch and seemed to be savoring it as if he never wanted to come out of it. When he finally came up, his eyes were wide as saucers and he had a huge childlike grin on his face.

Here’s what he accomplished within minutes of me explaining the CoreForce Energy stretching concepts - and this is within minutes after having made slow gains for years doing it the old traditional ways :

CoreForce Energy stretching

He and his wife are both exceptional athletes. We became friends after Karsten himself purchased the CoreForce Energy course he took advantage of the personal coaching that is all free when you buy the course where we not only did phone and video conference calls, but where I even created private instructional webpages for him - just like I do for the many clients who contact me.

Stretching the way most people do with static stretching can actually decrease your strength and power and also can increase the risk of injury. This isn’t just what I say - it’s what scientists have discovered.

When Karsten and his wife were recently in Las Vegas here’s what he had to say about what he learned about stretching - doing it the CoreForce Energy way.

“As I watched the CoreForce Energy DVD’s and subsequently implemented the principles in my training, I experienced the tremendous effects CoreForce Energy has on your strength. Very often I get 3-5 reps more with the same weight – with less effort!

I remembered thinking: I wonder if CoreForce Energy can improve your flexibility as well? I got the answer, when my wife and I were visiting Garin and Vanessa a couple of months ago. The answer is a big YES! CoreForce Energy can dramatically improve flexibility as well. Garin coached me to a 20 % improvement in side splits - which I have practiced a lot through the years - all in 15 minutes. This was 10 0’clock in the evening and with no warm up.

Also in the case of stretching, the principles of CoreForce Energy unlocked the potential of my body effortlessly. The key were the very special mental pictures that I haven’t heard of before – these mental images may seem odd at first, but you quickly find out that this way of stretching delivers results quickly and with no pain what so ever.”
