Gladiator Strength for super Combat Conditioning

Every time we visit Rome and see the Coliseum, I think of the great strength and ferocity that a gladiator must have trained with in order to prevail over every battle and to live to see another day.

Our careers as performers take my wife and I around the world to great places like we’re in today, Rome. As you know, it’s the home of the great Coliseum and course; it's the center of what once was the Great Roman Empire. Somehow it seems like this spectacular history is a complete fantasy and is the sole creation of the make-believe world of moviemaking.

Think Differently for More Power

It's amazing how so many people who want greater strength would rather do the same thing over even if it doesn't warrant greater results simply because the old way feels comfortable, is well trodden, and they don't have to struggle to learn something new that that has an unknown track record. It's more rewarding for them to get the same mediocre results over and over because they think it's normal, it's part of the process.

Electric Hands

In my many years to try to generate power to utilize in martial arts or for the inspiration to play the piano on world-class stages throughout the world, or to create sculptures or paintings, I’ve found that generating energy from the hands is one of the paramount ingredients that create not only a flow of body energy but a flow of inspiration as well and it allows for the mind to be “in the moment” without the force of will.

The Truth about Houdini’s Super Strength

Halloween night is a night that I also always remember the great magician Houdini who was an idol of mine growing up. It’s on Halloween night that he escaped from this earthly plane for the last time at the young age of 52.

I think of him in my own performances on stage remembering his great skill not only as a magician but also as a mega showman and also to his tremendous physical strength and fantastic escapes.

Generating Strength from the inside or out?

Is energy and strength generated from the inside out or from the outside in? You can change all you want with your energy levels but unless you make physical changes that are congruent with those energy changes, your body won't be able to house the increased amount of energy correctly and you won't be able to express your strength in a noticeable fashion. Your energy level must be congruent with your body structure’s skeletal skeletal and muscular alignment.

On the other side, you can learn a bunch of new moves and it won’t necessarily give you more energy and more power either.

Train Like a Ninja for Fluid Movement, Speed, and Strength

I’ll tell you one thing for sure - spending hours training watching to make sure your shadow can move undetected amongst the silhouettes of the night and making sure each step is undetected amongst loose crunchy gravel, can teach you invaluable things about how to move more efficiently and powerfully for speed strength and anticipating your breath to be fluid with each movement.

None of my martial arts sensei encouraged this odd behavior and maybe I spent too many years reading comic books. But, as a teenager, I used to spend hours training with the stealth techniques of the ancient ninjas – the “invisible assassins” of feudal Japan.
